I don't really do the gossip news, but this is an issue which should not be ignored (Child Support)and I know a lot of people been discussing about it, so why not get a few words from the man himself

The Audacity of Hops meeting at the White House demonstrated something most of us knew: Presidential power and charm can temporarily smooth the still-rough edges of race in America.

That's especially true when you have three men - Prof. Henry Louis Gates, Sgt. James Crowley and President Obama - who all radiate dignity, duty and fierce love of our country and its possibilities.

All three, burned by the same misunderstanding, were determined not to compound the error with ill-chosen words.

One teachable moment I'm waiting for is the day some inspired playwright scripts the confusion of that odd Cambridge afternoon using the technique pioneered by the late Japanese filmmaker, Akiro Kurasawa, in the 1950 classic movie, "Rashomon."

The film tells and re-tells a crime story through the eyes of four witnesses who see incompatible versions of the same event.

Some writer - I nominate Pulitzer-Prize winner Lynn Nottage of Brooklyn - could have a ball demonstrating how Gates, Crowley and Lucia Whelan, the woman who called the cops about a suspected break-in, all turned out to be right, wrong and mistaken at the same time.

Outside the scripted bonhomie of the White House, it's unclear if race relations have changed for the better.

A Boston cop and National Guardsman named Justin Barrett has been suspended from the force and the Guard after e-mailing a rambling note to a Boston Globe columnist.

"If I was the officer he verbally assaulted like a banana-eating jungle monkey, I would have sprayed him in the face with [pepper spray]," he wrote.

Barrett was promptly stripped of his gun and badge; a hearing to dismiss him from the force is pending.

"These racist opinions and feelings have no place in this department or in our society and will not be tolerated," Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis said. Good for him.

Now that is what I call a teachable moment.

Some senior official at Fox News ought to say the same about right-wing talking head Glenn Beck, who went on national TV to throw reckless verbal slime.

"This President has exposed himself as a guy over and over and over again who has a deep-seated hatred for white people," Beck said. "This guy is, I believe, a racist."

The outburst has earned Beck a national campaign demanding that companies advertising on his show cancel their sponsorship.

Another teachable moment.

This isn't the polite, scholarly national conversation on race that some hoped for - but it's way better than nothing at all.

I feel that this was a poor move by Tia Kemp…I will make my points then u can either clarify or holla @ me….

1. How many baby fathers do you have?
2. How many of them pay child support?
3. When you went shopping sprees with 50 cent, instead of buying Gucci fur!!! Why did you not buy clothes for your kids?
4. How much money do you really think you will make from this book? Is it life - changing money?

I personally feel that you don’t have a strong case against the man, otherwise why would you resort to this? If you are confident In what you are saying then the courts will sort out some kind of settlement. Woman show some integrity, there are a lot of women who get abandoned with their kids, they don’t die, they keep it moving, I respect them. I heard one of your interviews and there was some emotion in your answers regarding William aka rick ross…this means there was something genuine for you to have his son…that is not your 1st kid, so u are very experienced. If I was you, I would either settle in court or try to make amends. 50 CENT is using you like Uncle Sam….

As for Rick Ross, if he really is not looking out for his son, shame on him, whether he glorifies drugs, or fabricates his past, i really don’t see what the big deal is, a lot of rappers do it, personally i think he makes good music, he does go overboard at times and his denial of the c.o picture was detrimental. It is of choice to listen to music or hip hop. Nonetheless, getting back to what I was saying, he should set up a trust fund for his son and make sure the boy has the necessary things to grow up with..i.e clothes, healthcare, quality food, good school, moral, ethics etc… basically if you cannot give this to your kid after making so much money, what are you living for????

The reason I am commenting on this situation is because, this whole child support thing is a very big issue in the community, thus I thought I should address this particular issue….

Now lets talk rap/hiphop

I think 50 cents tactics are terrible considering he is a walking contradiction, he has his own baby mama problems and he is making time to side somebody else’s baby mama, how sad.

Rick Ross should not have made such comments on Mafia music, that is slander and it is a “bitch move”.

I feel Rick Ross beat him lyrically in this whole battle thing.

I personally don’t care what started this beef.

Both of these men are way over 30 years old..its all entertaining, let it stay as entertainment or squash this childish shit…..

Obama's honeymoon with Americans still going strong

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Obama is halfway through his first 100 days in office and he's still enjoying a honeymoon with the American public, according to an average of recent polls.

Obama's job approval rating stands at 61 percent in a new CNN poll of polls, which averaged seven national surveys conducted over the past two weeks.

"Obama's support is not as high as it was during the transition period and immediately after the inauguration, but approval from six in ten Americans is a pretty robust level of support," said CNN polling director Keating Holland.

The 61 percent approval rating is also slightly higher than his predecessors' numbers around the same time. President Bush stood at 58 percent around 50 days into his administration. President Clinton was at 53 percent, President George H.W. Bush was at 56 percent and President Reagan was at 60 percent.

Considering the state of the economy and the mess left by the republicans for Obama to inherit, I personally feel he is doing well. Lets hope he continues to go strong...
